Master National General Meeting

At 2:45 pm, President Gloria Mundell called us back to order. Awards were given to Jeff Oakes, the General Manger of Flint Oak Lodge and Larry Kimble, Hunt Test Chairman for all their hard work and dedication. The Master National Board of Directors was recognized one more time. It was announced that there are 159 Master National Clubs and 118 were represented and that made a quorum. The minutes from the last meeting were approved and distributed. The Treasurer's report was given by Frank Barton. The 2014 Master National will be hosted by the Marin Retriever Club and held in Corning, California from October 9-19, 2014. Laura Judd will be the Hunt Test Chairman. A report was given on the Women's Challenge Trophy. The Vision Commitee gave the next report. This committee is made up of the President, the Past President and the Incoming President. This group meets with the AKC once a year. The discussion surrounded AKC Advanced Judging Seminars which will be held in each region and paid for by the MNRC.

New Business was an update for the site for the 2015 Master National. Currently there is no site or host club.

Two new regional directors were named: Region 1, Jack Combs and Region 3, Keith Winch. The Vice-President for Region 4 will be Kevin Bunnell. The Treasurer is Jimmy Hughes. The Judges for the 2014 Master Nationa were announced:

REGION 1: Megan Baker and Michelle Love

REGION 2: Blake Lemish and Corinne Clavey

REGION 3: Alan Foster and Lynn Morrison

REGION 4: Milk Collson and Mike Jesperson

The Distinguished Service was awarded to Jim Morris by Kevin Bunnell. Janet Wood was presented the President's Pin. John Blackbird presented a jacket to Gloria Mundell as the outgoing President. The meeting was adjourned at about 5:00 pm.
